Can I make the IAP Led's to blink inorder to identify one among many?

Jun 30, 2014 08:37 AM

At times there would be a requirement to bring down a deployed access point or identify one among many for many reasons. As all of them look similar with the same radio Led status, it becomes difficult to identify an IAP uniquely.

Understanding this requirement, Aruba InstantOS has a built-in CLI command that would help an IAP to blink its LED's. This command is ap-specific and need to be executed from respective IAP's command line.

Follow the below steps:

  •     With the help of IP address, SSH in to the specific Instant Access Point.
  •     Execute the command "ap-leds blink" ,  as shown below:

  •     Once the Instant AP is identified, the led status can be bring back to normal by using the command "ap-leds normal"
