Question:  How do I enable MAC authentication in Aruba Instant using InternalDB?

Product and Software: This article applies to all Aruba Instant platforms and versions.

To enable MAC authentication with InternalDB in Aruba Instant APs, choose Open for the security level, select Enabled, and select InternalServer as the authentication server.

For the username and password, enter the MAC address of the wireless client without the delimiters (either ":" or "-").

Example: If the MAC address of the wireless client is 00:21:6a:1e:a0:45, then the username and the password would be 00216a1ea045.
