Controller-less WLANs

Environment         This article applies to Aruba Central.

Aruba Central is a cloud management platform for Instant Access Points. The access point that is elected as Master or Virtual Controller keeps updating Aruba Central on the list of access points in the cluster and the clients connected to access points.


Navigating through central is easier when configured groups are less. But when it comes to sectors, such as retail industry, hospitality and education etc..where they have multiple branch locations with each branch configured in a group, managing and navigating within central becomes difficult. Especially, when the administrator has to search for a client or access point's mac address.

This is where the intelligently integrated search functionality of Central comes into play.

The entered string can be searched with the list of access points, clients, events, networks and labels. Below example, show us a search with the access point mac address:
