How to enable SSH support on IAP?

Jul 02, 2014 06:20 PM

Product and Software: This article applies to Aruba Instant Access Points (IAP's) running Aruba InstantOS 6.2.0.0-3.2.0.0 or later.

Starting from InstantOS 6.2.0.0-3.2.0.0, IAP supports SSH terminal access to the CLI for diagnostic purposes only. Access to CLI using Telnet has been deprecated from this release version.

Follow the steps below to Enable or Disable SSH terminal access:

  1. Login to the Instant WebUI
  2. Click on "Settings" from top Main Menu
  3. On the General tab, click  "Show Advance Options" at the bottom
  4. From the advance options, Select Enable or Disable for "Terminal Access"
  5. Click OK

Note:  As of InstantOS version 6.2.0.0-3.2.0.0, CLI access is only for diagnostic purposes and no configuration is allowed.
