What is the DHCP UI Client-ip VLAN assignment change in IAP 4.1

Aug 14, 2014 03:10 PM

Question: What is the DHCP UI Client-ip VLAN assignment change in IAP 4.1

Pre 4.1 – Virtual controller assigned vlan(Magic vlan) dhcp pool config is available
under below menu in UI System (Show advanced options) -> DHCP

From 4.1 onwards - Virtual controller assigned vlan(Magic vlan) dhcp pool config is changed to DHCP Server menu in UI
More -> DHCP Server -> Virtual Controller Assigned Networks – Default DHCP Scope
No changes made in CLI

Pre 4.1 VLAN Assignment – WLAN/Wired VLAN config contains “Virtual controller assigned” and it corresponds to Magic vlan DHCP Pool only.
See below screen shot.

But from 4.1 onwards VLAN Assignment – “Virtual controller assigned” is replaced with “Virtual controller Managed”
      - Default (This option maps to Magic vlan DHCP Pool)
      - Custom ( Under Custom can select any of the vlan configured
                      in IAP DHCP Server profile)
