We have a customer running a IAP netwrok in a very congested / dense area of a shopping centre, They have 3 IAP's managed by Central.

Many of their critical devices have a single 2.4Ghz radio. ARM is changing channels very 2 / 3 hours.

What is considered a high 'Ch Busy perct @ beacon intvl '

The following is the output of one of their AP's

show ap debug radio-stats 1 | include beacon

    Tx Time perct @ beacon intvl        11 11 11 11 11 11 11 11 11 12 12 12 12 12 12 12 12 12 16

    Ch Busy perct @ beacon intvl        74 74 74 74 74 74 74 74 74 77 77 77 77 77 77 77 77 77 75

    Rx Time perct @ beacon intvl        57 57 57 57 57 57 57 57 57 55 55 55 55 55 55 55 55 55 53

Just to add to the above I check the network while the shopping centre was closed and the channel utilisation was still very high @ about 50 to 60%.

This was from one of the AP's when the building was closed.

    Ch Busy perct @ beacon intvl        53 53 53 53 53 53 53 53 53 53

I dropped the AP power from 12 to 9 on the 2.4Ghz radios, disable client aware for a while and ARM dropped the AP radio powers to 9dBM.

What else can we do to improve the 2.4Ghz network?

there will be very little you can do to improove the 2.4GHz network, especally in an enviroment like a shopping centre.  i would suggest moving to 5GHz.

Yes, I think so too. Fundntaley the cusotmer has to support legcy devices that are 2.4Ghz only.
