AP-205H not booting as instant device

    I've got a brand new AP-205H, plug it to a PoE+ switch (switch is just for powering it up) and it never boots up.

    The "instant" ESSID is never announced (I left it plugged to the switch for over 1 hour) and the System Status LED stays blinking in green color at a slow frequency (2 times per second)

     

    The PSE LED stays off.

     

    I've tried the factory reset but it doesn't make any difference.

    Is it an AP-205H or an IAP-205H?

    AP-205 as per sticker on the back side.

    So, it does NOT support Instant?

    That's correct.



    IAP-205H = Instant (can be converted to controller-based)

    AP-205H = controller-based only
