IAP 105 is not taking new firmware....Instant 6.4.0.3-4.1.0.2

    We want to check new feature coming with instant new firware 6.4.0.3   4.1.0.2

    But not IAP 105 is taking new firmware.....

     

    APPRFF and web filtering.

     

    Kindly suggest, what will be possible issue...?

    Please post the entire filename you are attempting to load.  There are different images for the different IAP models.

     

    You should be using ArubaInstant_Orion_6.4.0.3-4.1.0.2_45704.

     

    FYI.........v.4.1.1.0 is now the current release and is available for download on the TAC site.

    hi ...i am trying to upload...ArubaInstant_Orion_6.4.0.3-4.1.0.2_45704

     

    but its not uploading.....in the end it gives....unknown status message.

    Also note with the IAP-105 that apprf and web content classification will not be available.

    The Deep Packet Inspection (DPI) / application portion of AppRF is not available for the IAP-104/105; however Web Classification is available.

    one more question, through web classification .....can i block facebook , torrent , etc....?

     

    or these APPRFF and DPI  feature will come in AP 105 in future...?

    Please take a look at the IAP eLearning training modules here: http://cloud.arubanetworks.com/instant-training

     

    Scroll down to Module 18: AppRF for a discussion on the feature and how to use Web Classification to detect categories such as "Social Networking".

     

    DPI / Application detection will not appear on the IAP-10x due to HW limitations.

     

    You might want to contact TAC for the issue you are seeing wih the SW update.
