So i am unsure how this works so I am hoping someone can answer.

We are getting ready to deploy a pretty large IAP deployments (1000+) (1 per store).

We want to install on the IAPs a publicly signed certificate so that we can redirect to our captive portal instead of using the self-signed cert that comes with the IAP.

We will be leveraging activate to get config from Airwave.

Can I push down the cert from Airwave to the IAPs or do I need to manually update each VC? So I have a central place for the certificate.

Also, does this change how IAPs will communicate to Airwave, am i switching now from PSK to cert based authentication because of this?

You can upload a captive portal only certificate under Device Setup > Certificates. Once it has been uploaded, set it as the Captive Portal certificate in the group settings.
