    Hi,

does somebody know if it's possible to "automatically" convert IAP to Campus APs (managed by controller) by simply advertising the Controller IP with DHCP option 43?

(Or if there's some kind of a more convenient way than starting the conversion ap-by-ap?)

    Thanks

You could use Aruba Activate to do this for you .

And it will do the converstion automatically.

As our management VLAN don't have internet access, using aruba Activate wouldn't be a solution for us. Sorry. :(

Are there any other possibilites like announcing the controller within the option 43 or so?

    Timmy,

If you bring all of your IAPs up in a cluster, a single convert will convert them all.

How can I convert these APs in AirWave? - In the InstantGUI I've already seen this option, but not in AirWave ... :(

That is because few people convert IAPs that are already under management in Airwave to Campus APs.

That means it's not working through AirWave? - What's my possibility then?

Can you login to the VC of your cluster? Does it show up as an option under maintenance?
Are you using Airwave to just monitor or manage the configs of your IAPs?

We're using AirWave as management as well.

No, in the VC the convert option doesn't appear as the Maintenance PopUp provides only a name and version information when the VC has been connected to AirWave.

convert-aos-ap in conjunction with ClusterSSH finally did the job.
