    Hi,

I need some clarfication on iAP trasmit power to match that of the client device for a pre instal survey.

The iAP power is set using an EIRP value and we are given a mW rating for the client device (30mW).

I understand the calculation that goes into EIRP and that 30mW is equivelant to 15dBm. Is it as simple as setting the EIRP value to 15? Or am I missing some important math?

    Thanks,

    - Setting the power to the range of your clients is a good starting point.  It is not necessarily a hard-and-fast rule.

    - You are correct on your power assumption.  You would set it to 15, yes.
