    Can you use server-derivation for user roles in Aruba Instant?

     

    Specifically, is there a way to say if a mobile device matches it's DHCP ID it will assigned the "mobile-role", or whatever role you want assigned to it?

     

    Or, if a user is in a particular OU in AD it will be assigned a specific role?

     

    I know I can do this in Aruba OS, but don't know if it can be done with Instant.

    Yes with the new version of Instant (3.0) you can do role derevation based on RADIUS attributes from your AD user group.
