I have IAP 225 access points, but it seems that I can only setup a flat wireless network with the IAP. I need to be able tag mulitiple VLANs across my wireless network. I am a previous Cisco customer, and I was able to trunk multiple VLANs across an AP. I understand that this can be done if I use a mobility controller. So can if I purchase a controller, will the IAP 225 hardware work with the mobility controller?

You can absolutely tag VLANs on IAPs and assign them to different SSIDs and roles.

So, I have 10 buildings each with 10 vlans. Each Vlan has it's own IP scheme and I want to deploy an SSID to all APs, so that when a client is in one building it can automatically connnect when in another building.

I was informed that with the IAP, having 10 different vlan I will have to form 10 different cluster with 10 VC. If the client is moving from one building to another building the roaming will not happen as the IAPs are in different cluster.

OK, yes, with the additional detail you provided, you'd definitely want to use a controller for scaling and flexibility. You can convert your Instant APs for use with a controller.

The 3600 can terminate 128 campus APs.

I have 85 AP's on campus. We may expand up to 100 - 115 in the next few years.
