    I have this AP and I want to use it as an acces point or range extender.  is it possible without a controller???

    That is a controller-based AP and requires an external controller.

     

    The "InstantAP" line is controller-less and the model number will contain "IAP".  Exceptions are the: RAP-3, RAP-155, and RAP-108 which ship with Instant SW.

    You will need to use an Alcatel controller in order to get support.
