Can Instant APs tie into Meridian?

Hello,

So I understand that battery-powered beacons will be deployed, and then they talk back to a beacon powered by an AP.  The examples I see show a Campus AP registered to a Mobility Controller.  Can the same thing be done with an Instant AP as the beacon "anchor" tying everything back to Meridian?
