Issue: Error on the home page : "NON UTF-8 Characters present in the database".
After upgrading to 7.1 version , we come across a error on the home page which says "NON UTF-8 characters present in the database".The easy way to get rid of this message is to navigate to the AMPSetup --> General page and select the option "yes" for "Allow non UTF characters" under the device configuration menu. BUT THIS IS NOT GENERALLY RECOMMENDED, as non-UTF8 characters cannot be displayed in our XML APIs, which causes problems for applications that use the APIs, including VisualRF. The better solution is to find what non-UTF8 data exists in your database and edit it. This log /var/log/check_db_utf8_complianceshows what rows in what tables contain these characters.
