Tagged VLANs on Proxim APs

Jun 10, 2014 06:06 PM

AMP requires that at least one VLAN be defined as untagged, and the untagged VLAN is selected by calling it the Native VLAN on the SSIDs/VLANs page.

If you want all your VLANs to be tagged, you can accomplish that by creating one placeholder VLAN and making it the Native VLAN. This works best when you create a VLAN with an ID higher than your other VLANs (999 usually works). Make sure that the VLAN is disabled for both the radios.

If the VLAN is not enabled for either radio, AMP will not push out this VLAN config to your APs.

See attached screenshot for an example.
