Question : I have IAP's being Monitored by Airwave, still i cannot make any changes from IAP GUI and get this error"All APs associated with this VC are being managed by Airwave"
Environment Information : This applies to Airwave version 7.7.5 and greater.AirWave 7.7.5 includes the feature-complete release of the Groups > Instant Config page. This feature is available if youselect Enable Instant GUI Config on the Groups > Basic page. Instant Config allows you to configure Instant 3.2 andlater devices using configuration pages that mimic the Instant user interface. Refer to the Aruba Instant in AirWave 7.7Deployment Guide for more information.
Cause : From Airwave 7.7.0 onwards, we have a feature which provides Read Only access to IAP GUI when IAP is being managed by Airwave.Instant GUI config was first released in 7.7.5 version of Airwave. This feature made configuring IAP from Airwave easier as compared to the legacy template management. If IGC is enabled on Airwave, below is the page which we would see.The configuration is graphical and users have the feel and view of the IAP GUI.This feature can be enabled from Group - Basic page as shown below.Once this feature is enabled ( irrespective of device being in managed or monitored mode), user will not have configuration access to GUI or CLI of IAP and we would see the below warning message while trying to make any changes on IAP bypassing the Airwave server. All APs associated with this VC are being managed by Airwave
Resolution : We can disable IGC if configuration access to IAP from IAP's WebUI or CLI is needed.
