What is FIPS and how to enable AirWave to work on FIPS mode?

Nov 17, 2017 02:21 PM

Q:

What is FIPS and how to enable AirWave to work on FIPS mode?

A:

FIPS (Federal Information Processing Standards) are a set of standards that describe document processing, encryption algorithms and other information technology standards for use within non-military government agencies and by government contractors and vendors who work with the agencies, which in other words is secured mode of using any software.

Below are the commands to enable FIPS (Federal Information Processing Standards) on Airwave from the CLI.

# Scripts

# ./fips

Note: Once we execute this script, we will not be able to make the Airwave server in normal mode again. Only way to revert is by reinstalling the server.
