We need the following 3 questions answered in regards to AMPs new code version 8.0.4:
We had seen documentation stating, “AWS 8.0.x supports Motorola Wing5 RFS controllers and 6532, 6522 and 6521 APs”. However, in the Device Setup à Add tab, the drop-down list only shows WiAP200 and 200M. Can we add and monitor RFS-6000 series controllers? If so, what are the steps needed to do this. If not, then please explain why and when this feature will be available?
We would like more frequent polling from AMP to 2 x 7220 local controllers in the same subnet. We currently prefer SNMP polling, but I discovered the setting: ‘Prefer AMON vs SNMP polling’. What are all the pros and cons of setting this to yes or no (preferring AMON or preferring SNMP)?
We would like more frequent polling from AMP to 2 x 7220 local controllers in the same subnet. Specifically, we want to display all client associations more accurately. If a client associates to 2 or more APs within one or two minutes, we want to see each association. In the groups à Basic tab for each group, we currently have not changed any of the defaults under the SNMP polling periods. Given all of this information, can you give us suggestions on exact minutes to set all the polling periods in order to achieve our goals and not see any negative impacts? In other words, which polling periods can we lower and what can we safely lower these polling periods to?
