AirWave 8.2.3 System Requirements

    Hello,

     

    can someone point me in the right direction.

    I need official document about system requirements for AirWave on Hyper-V enviroment. In the AirWave 8.2 Installation Guide Aruba has tested Hyper-V on Wind. Server 2000 R2.? I think that this is type failure but i need official document that i can show to my customer.

     

    Also it would be good to have official document for system requirements (hdd, CPU, RAM) when you are doing installation on virtual enviroment and not something like: "Aruba recommends a 20% increase buffer for virtual environments."

    Airwave resources allocation varies based on number of factores, please check sizing guide for detail informaiton.

    Hi Tim,

     

    We need to add extra 20% more resources in VM envorinement. If you are planning to monitor around 1500 deivces allocate below recommanded  resourecs with 20% more.

    In VM, allocate

     

    8 CPU cores

     

    55GB RAM

     

    Storege capacity varies depend on historical retention settings,if you have high value allocate recommended disk space.

     

    Currently we do not have sperate document related to sizing guide for virutal envoirment.

    i have already gone trough that document. I have found this calculator, that is much better then that document: https://ase.arubanetworks.com/solutions/id/77

     

    Ok now at least i have that coverd. Can you help me with Wind. Server. In the install document it there is Windows Server 2000 R2!? Should this be 2008 or 2012 ?

    I believe it is tested on 2008R2 but I am not sure exactly, will check and get back to you on this.

    Hi guys,

     

    That calculator is no longer available.

    In my case, the number of devices differs a lot from that of the document. I have around 300 devices, but the minimum hardware tested is for 1500 devices. Should still I considere that platform or reduce the resources proportionally?
