    Hello All,

I’m currently running AMP 8.2.6.1 on CentOS 6.9. I’ve migrated it over to a VM from a physical box and it’s been doing great. I’d like to upgrade to 10.2.10.1 and have a few questions. The upgrade instructions have a couple paths depending on what version is being upgraded from and the version of CentOS, but neither starting point lists 8.2.6.1. The two paths listed are:

    • To upgrade from AirWave 8.2.8.x, 8.2.9.x, or AirWave 8.2.10.0 with CentOS 6, follow the steps in "Upgrade from AirWave 8.2.8.x, 8.2.9.x, or 8.2.10.0 with CentOS 6" on page 32
To uprade from AirWave 8.2.4.3 or AirWave 8.2.10.0 with CentOS 7, follow the steps in "Upgrade from AirWave 8.2.4.3 or 8.2.10.0 with CentOS 7" on page 35.

Do I need to upgrade my installation to an intermediate version before upgrading to 8.2.10.1? I’m also a little confused about how to meet CentOS 7 requirement for 8.2.10.1. Do I just upgrade my existing 8.2.6.1 CentOS 6.9 install to 8.2.10.1 (which keeps CentOS at 6.9?), then back up my system and then perform a completely fresh installation of 8.2.10.1 which installs CentOS 7, then restore my back up?

I’m already on a clean slate, so messing up and starting over doesn’t bother me too much as I have my older back ups. Just looking for some guidance on how to kick this off and be successful with as little down time as possible.

    Thank you,
    Mark

    That is correct.

Upgrade existing 8.2.6.1 on CentOS 6.9 install to 8.2.8.1 and then to 8.2.10.1 (which keeps CentOS at 6.9). Then back up the system on 8.2.10.1, perform a completely fresh installation of 8.2.10.1 which installs CentOS 7, then restore the backup.
