Airwave and ClearPass

    Hi,

     

    I would like to understand the concept to build the firewall rules. I need some help with that. My setup is as below:

     

    Clearpass mgmt --- firewall -- airwave

    clearpass data -- firewall -- airwave

     

    some documentation says that ClearPass alwayse initate connection through data port if it is configured. 

     

    I would like to integrate ClearPass with Airwave so from the ClearPass log you can click to Airwave portal and follow the user in Airwave.

     

    I have to write up the firewall rules but not sure if it is 

     

    Airwave -- Clearpass mgmt -- 161

    clearpass data -- airwave -- 162

     

    or 

     

    Airwave -- Clearpass mgmt -- 161

    clearpass mgmt -- airwave -- 162

     

    or

     

    Airwave -- Clearpass data-- 161

    clearpass data -- airwave -- 162

     

    if some one please explain that will be huge help.

    link explains data and managment port usage.

     

    Allows both 161 & 162 ports on your firewall,  161 port is used by Airwave for snmp get/set operation where as 162 port is used to receive CPPM syslog and events in Airwave.
