Airwave misconfigured devices actions

    Hello, 

    I have airwave installed and working with 22 switches aruba 2540/3810.

    The other day surprisingly for me, airwave restored a backup on one of the switches and everything I had done via CLI was lost causing me problems in the network.
    Why does this happen? how can prevend this?

    I a CLI man... Airwave is for the end user.

    Airwave will push configuraiton if devices are placed in manage mode, in this mode we can not make any configuation changes in switch CLI.

    Any changes done via CLI will be override by configuraiton file present in Airwave.

    Thanks Pavan,

    what will happen if I change a switch from managed to monitor only and then perform CLI configurations?.

    If you switch from manage to monitor mode, airwave will not manage your configuration it will only montior the devices. Any config changes you make in CLI will not get override by airwave server.
