Does Airwave count a Cisco switch stack as one device or as many devices that are present in the stack for licensing purposes...Thanks

Each physical device consumes a license. Each physical switch= single license.

Re: Do all switch stacks count as a single device for Airwave licensing like an Arubastack does?

Well, this does surprises me. I have always been convinced that 1 LIC-AW covers 1 managed ip, so 1 switch stack should consume only 1 LIC-AW, not each physical switch.
Here is a quote form AirWave 8.2.2 Release Notes
"Licensing in AirWave
When you add switches to a stack, one AirWave license covers the switch stack. You can verify your license count
by navigating to AMP > Home > License."

Yes, you are right. This is a new feature introduced in 8.2.2. I.e. the whole stack consumes only one license. Prior to that as Colin mentioned each physical device consumes a license i.e. each switch consumed one license.
