Firmware Upgrade via Airwave

    I am working on updating my 2930f switches to version 16.10.0005 but I am having some trouble. For some reason Airwave is not able to update the switch, even though the eventlog seems good to me.

    Does anyone have an idea what it could be?

    FYI: the switch has the firmware version 16.10.0003 and Airwave 8.2.10.1

    In the past I have updated switches via Airwave successfully when the switches had a snmpv2 configuration instead of snmpv3 now.

    Hi,

    Wed Apr 1 15:32:06 2020,"System","Firmware task try_count (2) >= max_tries (2), failing

    This error is from Airwave device event, it says server tired to push firmware twice and it failed.

    We need to check telnet logs of device in Airwave to see where exact it is failing and also check on switch event log and logging log from CLI and see if any request is been received from Airwave or not.

    To view device telnet log in Airwave, need root shell access which TAC can only login. Get me logs from switch side to see exact error during the firmware upgrade period.
