    Hello Community,


    Are you able to please provide instructions on how to upgrade the kernel on AirWave's CLI?

    If you are on Airwave version 8.2.4 or above, login as ampadmin. Navigate to option 7(upgrade) --> option 2(upgrade OS kernel). If there is any kernel update available this option will update it and reboot the server post update.

    Is it best practice to do this before or after a AirWave version upgrade?

    Kernel updates are done post upgrade.

    If you have previously upgraded kernel version from AMPCLI but didnt reboot the server then it will prompt message to reboot the server before initiating upgrade.

     

    If latest kernel already available we can install before upgrade aswell, else need to do kernel upgrade after Airwave upgrade, if it prompts message stating latest kernel avaialble in upgrade log.
