airwave backups

    hello Airheads,

    When you backup an Airwave configuration, does it include VisualRF information?

    We have a customer with a lot of AP's and plans that have been configured on their Airwave abd we want to transfer it to a VMware instance.

    thanks Colin,

    we have a customer who has an Airwave appliance and the resource on the appliance is insufficient to get the full benefit from VISUALRF. We have proposed backing up the config and deploying an Airwave OVA and then restoring the config to the VMware. We are thinking there shouldn't be an issue with that.

    What do you think?

    Just backup and restore on the same version and you should be good to go. Changing the IP address will require a new license key. The backup does not back up the key, so you will still need to copy it to the new box if you retain the same IP address...
