Recently we had our primary DHCP and DNS appliance fail. For the rest of the network the secondary appliance stepped into the role perfectly and everything was fine. My Clearpass installation however did not and continued for 8 hours to fail authentication because it couldn't resolve the domain controller's iP address. What kind of a failure needs to occur for CPPM to swap over to its secondary DNS entry? I do understand that I could hard code the DC controller's IP addresses in but have resisted that as it has changed at least twice since the CPPM install.
