ClearPass subscriber licensing

    Hi all,

     

    I currently have only one ClearPass server with a 25k license. I want to setup a second server as a subscriber for load balancing and redundancy.

     

    As I'm using about 10k licenses of the 25k I want to use the same license on both server.

     

    My question is : can I use the same license key on the new server enter key page ?

    Or do I need to ask the support to split the 25k license in two separated license ?

     

    I also see that i can log in to the CLI and use the cluster make-subscriber command, will that work ?

     

    What would be the best way to achive what I want?

    Policy manager licensing is based off each server. If you want to add a second server, you would need to purchase another virtual or physical appliance.
