Deploy session time out

    hi,

    im trying to deploy a system where i need sessions to have a timout. however, we dont want to use Guset Licenses for this.

    the question is, can i have session timeout without the use of Guest licenses ?

    i have an aruba mobility controller with Clearpass Plicy manager. we configured a Guest SSID that diconnect users after 2 hours and it worked fine. the question is can i use time qouta without the use of the GUEST Module so that we dont consume our guest license ?

    If those users are created in the guest respository, it consumes a license.

    what if we dont use Guest Users? for example can i depoly a mac authentication service that has time qouta?

    It only uses a guest license if a user logs in with credentials in the guest database.  If it does not use credentials from that database, no.

    How are you planning to get them on the network initially? You still need
    some form of authentication to trigger the MAC-cache.
