Guest access on controller

    I have a question regarding session times - guest users are getting logged out after 30mins, captive portal is on controller running 6.1.3.8. The user guide says - "the user remains logged in until the user timeout period has elapsed" but there is no details if this refers to a specific timer and what the default might be. Its under the section for "logout popup window" so it may only refer to this situation. Is there a default session limit for guests?

    Under the advanced tab in AAA profile, you will find the user timeout.

    I must be looking in the wrong place, under the AAA profile there is no advanced tab displayed, there is one under Security>Authentication>Servers but it looks like only server authentication timeout values are configured here.

    Check that advanced tab as soon as you check security from the left menu...what is that idle timeout value?

    I dont have access to the controller at the moment, but I assume its the default 5mins as I did not change it, but isnt this as it says on the tin - an "idle timeout", the question was regarding a maximum session limit time.
