    Hello guys and girls,

I was trying to figure out how to check in clearpass how it know it's for example a mobile, or a laptop.

This is because I thought I read somewhere (can't remember where), that I needed to configure on remote switches where AP's are connected to, a ip helper address to point to the clearpass.

Otherwise it would not know if it's a laptop or mobile.

    Could someone help me please?

Thanks in advance for your help!

You can also go to the following in Clearpass:

    Configuration > Identity > Endpoints

to see how those devices are currently being classified within the system.
