Moving of ClearPass Policy Manager VM to another host?

    We have setup ClearPass Policy Manager on a development VMware host. Is it possible to move it by cloning the VM it to another production host, make changes to its IP address and power it up without problem? Anyone has any experiences to share?

    I have used VMWare stand-alone converter to move VM's from one ESXi to another, and changed the IP afterwards on evaluation appliances.

     

    That worked fine for me.

     

    Please make sure that you installed a production version of virtual appliance (CP-VA-500, CP-VA-5K, CP-VA-25K) and not the EVAL appliance before moving into production. The EVAL appliance will not allow you to do upgrades to newer releases (the upcoming 6.1 for example).
