Hi all,

I am able to ssh to my clearpass server.  It prompts me for username which I can type that in.  Once I type it in it just sits there and my putty ssh session types out and never prompts for the password.  Anyone seen this before?  I just updated it 6.1.2.53442 and it still happens.

Does this happen with another SSH client?

had colleague try with other SSH client same result.  got username then times out.  The appliance is behind fw.  We have port 22 opened to it.

Did u rebooted after cppm upgrade? if not reboot - and test it.

appliance was rebooted after cppm update.

As this is an appliance, do you have an IP on the data and management ports?  Which port are you trying to access?

We have IPs in the Management and the Data Port.  I'm trying to ssh into the management IP.

Have you got a valid DNS server configured?  Do reverse DNS lookups for your client's IP address work?

I tried ssh to both via IP and DNS name and same result.

Did it worked before the update ?

I would advise you open up a TAC case and have a server backup ready to be sent in.  You can backup the logs in Adminstration --> Server Configuration.  

Before that, can you navigate to Server Configuration and then click on your server and then click on the tab "Services Control"?  Make sure all processes are running
