    Hi All,

I would like to discuss about what is different  between controller, proxy or firewall? I found some case at customer site.

Normally, controller can redirect HTTPs page when user want to access the internet. If we move login page from controller to firewall or proxy, user must enter only http website. Login page will be pop-up.

Could anyone explain me? Why controller can redirect https?

The controller Captive Portal exists, because a proxy typically sits at the internet border.  If you wanted to authenticate users, even though they do not want to go to the internet, you should use the Captive Portal.  Otherwise, the proxy is fine.
