    Hi forum,

when the device boots, every time this message is logged:

    I 01/01/90 01:00:23 05578 profile-manager: With this SW release the poe-value
field is not allowed to be set when poe-alloc-by is not value.
Changing to default value of 17

But my device is not poe aware, because it is only an HP J9776A 2530-24G

    I used ArubaOS: YA.16.10.0007

    Is this an software bug?

    Thanks

    Tuxmaster

Hi! Well...probably not a software bug (at least until you discover that a feature shows a bug) but just an unnecessary informative message considering the SKU (non PoE) of your switch.

    Good morning,

I think, the firmware can detect if is it an none PoE device. Or will the set before the detection routine?

    Thanks

Hi, your line of reasoning is quite understandbeable...I'm afraid the answer could be provided only by HPE Aruba support...probably (mine is just a guess) the routine generating that informative message doesn't check the SKU at all.
