2920 stacking bandwidth question

So looking at the specs I read this:

"Optional two-port stacking module with up to 40 Gb/s per

port allows stacking of up to four switch units into a single
virtual device"
I'm trying to understand if this means with 4 switches it would be 40Gig * 4 = 160Gig?  Or is it 10Gig per switch and total aggregated is 40Gig?
Thank you

Re: 2920 stacking bandwidth question

40Gbit is the inter-switch speed meaning that the bandwidth available between the each switch will be 40Gbit. This does not aggregate into 160Gbit.
