Are Active Optical Cables supported to link 8325-32C with 8325-48?

    Thinking of using the following Active Optical cables to link 8325-48 aggregation switches to 8325-32 switches used as cores. Is it supported?

     

    845410-B21
    HPE 100Gb QSFP28 to QSFP28 7m AOC
    845414-B21
    HPE 100Gb QSFP28 to QSFP28 15m AOC

    Hi,

     

    As per the Specification guide, 8325 48 has 8 ports capable of QSFP28 (100GbE) Below is from the quick specs :

     

    JL624A: 8325-48Y8C:

     

    Supports 48 ports of
    1G/10G/25GbE
    (SFP/SFP+/SFP28) and
    8 ports of 40G/100GbE
    (QSFP+/QSFP28) SFP+
    ports (with an optional
    10GBASE-T transceiver)

     

    JL626A: 8325-32C,

     

    Supports 32 ports
    of 40G/100GbE
    (QSFP+/QSFP28)

     

    Quick Specs mention about the 1m,3m and 5m DAC Cable and there is no mentioned of AOC for 100GbE as of now

    Hi!

     

    If I understood the OP's query correctly looking at Aruba 8325 Switch Series's latest QuickSpecs document I don't see AOC SKUs named by the OP as currently supported...only these QSFP28 DAC Cables are, as of now, supported on Aruba 8325 Switch series:

     

    • Aruba 100G QSFP28 to QSFP28 1m Direct Attach Copper Cable (R0Z25A)
    • Aruba 100G QSFP28 to QSFP28 3m Direct Attach Copper Cable (JL307A)
    • Aruba 100G QSFP28 to QSFP28 5m Direct Attach Copper Cable (R0Z26A)

     

    There is however a very interesting note related to supported Transceivers/DACs:

     

    NOTE: 100G CWDM4, AOCs will be forthcoming. Please contact your HPE Aruba Sales Representative for more information.

     

    so it will a matter of time.
