    Hi all,

     

    ArubaOS-CX 10.05.0020 Software Images for Aruba 8400, Aruba 8325, Aruba 8320, Aruba 6400, Aruba 6300 and Aruba 6200 Switch series have been published.

    will there also be a OVA release?

     I can't find 10.05 on the AFP page.

    Does OVA image have VXLAN & EVPN features?

    Yes. 10.5 OVA allows to build virtual lab with MP-BGP EVPN and VXLAN.

    However, there are limitations compared to physical 6xxx/8xxx switches:

    L3 VTEP (routing in overlay) is not supported: SVI does not work and no L3VNI. Only L2VNI.

    Also ECMP being still not supported, multi-pathing (for spine/leaf) won't work.

    Nevertheless, this OVA is still useful to practice on EVPN control-plane and get familiar with MP-BGP, EVPN route types (route-type 2 and 3 supported in this OVA).
