Does 2540 support policy based routing

    Hi,

     

    i do not find it in the specs, so i assume not but ...

     

    does a 2540 (JL355A) support policy based routing?

    Hi pnobels,

     

    Thanks for your question, but the 2540 is a pure Layer 2 switch, which means no routing at all. So no policy-based routing as well. 

     

    you have to go to a 2930F, at least, to have PBR capabilities.

    Just a bit of clarification: the 2540 is capable of static and RIP routing, just not PBR.
