    Hi Gianni,

    Yes, it's possible.

The HPE FlexFabric 5950 Switch Series, as it is usual for this data-center class of Comware OS based devices, supports the famous Intelligent Resilient Fabric (IRF) technology, this is a virtualization technology.

Have a look HPE FlexFabric 5950 Switch Series Virtual Technologies Configuration Guide (for release Release 6301 and later versions) to learn how to deploy IRF.

With IRF you'll be able to create a virtual switch made of standalone switches logically aggregated together (at least 2 members switches and at most up to 10 members), all of them sharing their management plane by using "traditional" Ethernet interfaces - thus no Hardware stacking modules/cables are needed - converted as IRF Links (IRF Links are used as "inter-switch links").

Here a the HPE FlexFabric 5950 FAQs document.

Here a brief description about IRF provided by HPE...but if you look for IRF here on Aruba Airheads Community or on HPE Community (Networking) (or just over the Internet) you will be able to find a lot of information.
