    Hello Airheads,

This is my first post on here and I hope you can help me or guide me in the right direction :)

Can you stack the HPE OfficeConnect 1950's in a mixed manor between the different models (JH295A, JG960A and so on)?

Im asking because the JH259A runs with a different software compared to the others.

The newest build for JH259A is from 2017-03-27 and is version 7.10.R5106P03

The newest build for all other models are from 2018-01-02 and is version 7.10.R3208P03.

When you upload the firmware to the switch stack, the guide says that the stack upgrades the switches in the stack from the software it runs, but how is that possible when they run different software?

Or is it impossible to mix the JG960A, JG961A, JG962A and JG964A with the JH295A?

No, IRF (virtual stacking) on HPE OfficeConnect 1950 Switch Series can be deployed or using whatever mix of:

    • HPE 1950 24G 2SFP+ 2XGT Switch (JG960A)
    • HPE 1950 48G 2SFP+ 2XGT Switch (JG961A)
    • HPE 1950 24G 2SFP+ 2XGT PoE+ Switch (JG962A)
    • HPE 1950 48G 2SFP+ 2XGT PoE+ Switch (JG963A)

or using two or more HPE 1950 12XGT 4SFP+ Switch (JH295A) models...in other words you can't mix the JH295A with any other HPE OfficeConnect 1950's SKU and vice-versa.
