How do I recover the login credential for Aruba Mobility_Access_Switch?

Product and Software: This article applies to all Aruba Mobility Access Switches and ArubaOS versions.

To recover the login credentials of the Aruba S3500 and S2500 Switches, follow these steps:

 

User:password Password:********* >>type in "forgetme!"(ArubaS3500) >enablePassword:****** >>type in "enable"

(ArubaS3500) #configure terminal Enter Configuration commands, one per line. End with CNTL/Z
(ArubaS3500) (config) #mgmt-user admin rootPassword:******** >>type in the new password for user "admin"Re-Type password:********
(ArubaS3500) (config) #exit(ArubaS3500) #exit(ArubaS3500) >exit
User: adminPassword: ******** >>login with the new admin password
(ArubaS3500) >enablePassword:****** >>type in password as "enable"

 

Note: Immediately after you change the credentials, change your switch "enable mode" password, which is "enable" by default.

(ArubaS3500) #configure terminal
Enter Configuration commands, one per line. End with CNTL/Z

(ArubaS3500) (config) #enable secret
Password:****** >>type in the new enable secret
Re-Type password:******

(ArubaS3500) (config) #exit
(ArubaS3500) #write memory
