How to merge a Stack Controllers?

Jun 30, 2014 05:50 PM

Question: How to merge a Stack Controllers?

When two members are configured for pre-set and are merged.
Both units remain Active, but are not part of a single stack.
To form a single stack of two members, remove the stack-profile configuration or restore stacking default from the secondary
unit and add the serial number and role to the Primary unit.

In Case you are merging two stacks Stack A and Stack B and you want Stack A to take over the entire stack, it is always recommened to reset the other stack configuration. On Stack B execute "restore factory_default stacking" and then add the Serial number of these member to Stack A.
