    Hi,
    We recently upgraded our analog PBX to IP PBX + IP Phones and we are having issues with computers not getting any connection when connected to IP Phone PC Port (passthrough), it is not that the PC not getting any DHCP, it's just 'Link Down'. Its only when we connect to Aruba switches, there is no issue mentioned when connecting to Cisco switch, IP Phone with its voice vlan and the PC Port with its data vlan. We spend some time looking at the Aruba switch configuration just to find out that data/voice vlans,qos,cdp,etc were configured properly.

    Cisco

    Aruba 2530-48-POE+

    Cisco Catalyst 2960

    As we can see from the IP phone GUI
    'Connected to Aruba switch'
    PC Port: Link Down
    Port speed: Auto-Negotiation, Half-Duplex 10Mbps

    'Connected to Cisco switch'
    PC Port: Link Up
    Port speed: Auto-Negotiation, Full-Duplex 100Mbps

    So we tried to manually set the IP Phone PC Port to Full-Duplex 100Mbps, restarted the phone...it works for over a week now and so with other newly installed units.
    Can someone share some knowledge on this?

    Thanks!

    Hi,

    Info, both IP Phone + Desktop is connected to int1-2

    -int1, IP Phone PC Port is auto-negotiate (default), PC Port status Link-Down

    -int2, IP Phone PC Port is set manual to Full-Duplex 100Mbps, PC Port status Link-Up

    Here goes the config for both interface ;

    SW010ACCEDSBN# sh run int 1-2

    Running configuration:

    interface 1
    tagged vlan 5
    untagged vlan 4
    exit
    interface 2
    tagged vlan 5
    untagged vlan 4
    exit

    ///////////////////////

    SW010ACCEDSBN# sh power-over-ethernet 1-2
