    Hello,

     

    im creating a document comparing the summit 440 vs Aruba 3500/2500 because a customer asking for that document, they have a large footprint of extreme (60 access switches extreme) and they want to try the aruba access switch. This customer have Aruba wireles in the 5 campus about 220 AP.

     

    So if someone want to contribuite to this file i will apreciate.

    Also i have question about licensin 3500/2500, the PEF is licensed via ethernet port or for each switch??

    Cruz,

    Some more information for your reference ...

    1.> MAS (S2500/S3500) also support PIM but not RIP

    2.> MAS support IPv6 on management but no routing

    3.> MAS certainly doesn't have EAPS (Extreme's propitary) but MAS has HLS (High Link Standby) which is for same reason to reduce L2 convergent time.

    4.> For LAG/MLAG, what you put there is right. Maybe you want to add LACP for MAS.

    5.> I'd suggest you to add security function which is what MAS has from Aruba controller and can easily beat other L2/L3 swithes.
