We currently are running 6.1.3.1, with model 65 and 105 AP’s on three 3600 controllers in a master/local/local configuration. I’m reading through the release notes trying to determine which one of these to upgrade to since I need to upgrade anyway (the advisory that went out). Since 6.2.x is Early Deployment is it generally thought to be more buggy but with more features with 6.1.x to be more stable/less features? I see that 6.2.0.3 has added firewall views to the dashboard, and that sounds good. Any other benefits?

Thanks for your input. It seems like others may be making this decision too.

Sounds like we are in the same boat I too am running 6.1.3.1 - I really want to install 6.2.0.3 (for the instant AP I have sitting the drawer and I can't convert) but am concerned with it being an Early Release am reluctant to install it yet. Would love to know when it's going to be released and if others see a benefit from the upgrade.

I have to admit the bandwidth contract support for RAPs looks interesting, the RAp serviceability enhancements look helpful and the captive portal enhancements could be good too. The new idle user time out could cause some issues - remains to be seen (I have about 65 Macintosh computers and 12 Linux systems). Some of the AP wireless fixes would help in my environment, authentication fixed issues look useful too. So I would say lots of pluses to it

Downside - some of the dot1x known issues, I don't really see much else that would effect me.

    Thank you

I wouldn't upgrade 6.2.x.x if there's no heavy reason for that (7200s' controllers for example).

I've had more problems with 6.2.0.2 than any AOS version before.

Good to know - guess I'll wait a little longer.

    Thank you!

    Hi Matti,

I'm considering going to 6.2.... What were the issues you experienced and have they now been fixed?

    Cheers
