    Had heard about it. Not seen anybody leveraging it in the wild yet.

    This raises some interesting questions around the 'posture of smartphones' connecting to your wireless network.

     

    A couple that come to mind:

     

    • knowing what applications are installed on a device is one thing but determining what system level priveleges they have implemented is another.
    • should your BYOD strategy include the ability to profile not the operating system of the device (Android in this case) but also the device manufacturer (ie. HTC) and potentially operating system build version.

    What do you guys think?
