AOS 8 standalone licensing example

    If I have 2 AOS 8 standalone controller and 50 AP, what are the count & type of license required?

     

    Answer:

    1x MC-VA-250-xx (xx is the regulartory domain)

    50x LIC-AP

    50x LIC-PEF

    50x LIC-RFProtect (if WIDS is required)

     

    Note: a single copy of MC-VA license is sufficient as long as we don't exceed the device count in the licensed capacity.  The above licensing bill of material also require centralized licensing is used, one VMC as licensing server while the other VMC as licensing client.

    Are you sure you can do centralised licensing on 2 standalone controllers?
